🏇Homecoming at the Races – Kentucky Derby Tailgate
It’s Homecoming week, and we’re going all in on a Kentucky Derby theme! Join us on Saturday, September 27th, as the Hawkeyes take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Kickoff time is at 2:30 pm. Place your bets and choose your horse for the horse races!
Theme: Kentucky Derby
Apparel: Come dressed in your tailgate-best! Statement hats, bow ties, and sports coats are encouraged! (bonus points for black and gold flair).
Food: Country club cuisine
Charity of the Tailgate: Iowa City Shelter House
Since 1983, Shelter House has provided safe shelter and helped people improve the quality of their lives as they move beyond homelessness. They focus on programs and support services, including housing, employment, and mental health recovery, that help hundreds of adults, children, and families each year to get back on their feet.
